Children in EYFS at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Coundon have enjoyed a fantastic week exploring the much-loved story Pumpkin Soup as part of their learning.
Throughout the week, pupils took part in a range of activities inspired by the book, helping to bring the story to life through hands-on experiences and creative learning.
To conclude the topic, the children learned how to chop, slice and stir as they made their very own pumpkin soup. The practical activity allowed them to explore ingredients and develop new skills while enjoying the sights, smells and textures of cooking.
The fun continued as pupils also created bubbling pumpkin potions in preparation for the spooky celebrations ahead. The activity sparked plenty of excitement and imagination, providing another engaging way for children to learn through play.
