Year 6 pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon enjoyed an exciting opportunity to learn more about careers in the aviation and travel industry during a visit to Simfly - Virtual Global Flying.

Inspired by their educational trip to Estepona in May, the children were keen to discover the wide range of career pathways available within the sector. During the visit, Stuie provided pupils with a fascinating insight into roles including airport security, passport control, luggage handling, cabin crew and travel agents.

As well as learning about the different careers that help keep airports and journeys running smoothly, the children also had the chance to step into a flight simulator and experience what it is like to fly a plane. The hands-on activity helped bring their learning to life and gave pupils a memorable insight into the world of aviation.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity for children to explore future career possibilities, ask questions and learn more about an industry that connects people and places across the globe.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School would like to thank Stuie at SimFly for generously donating the visit. It was a fantastic day of learning, discovery and inspiration, giving pupils the chance to explore where their interests and ambitions could take them in the future.

Experiences such as these continue to provide valuable opportunities for pupils to broaden their horizons and learn about the many pathways available to them beyond the classroom.
